OdoBan® Heavy-Duty Purple Degreaser is a concentrated, versatile cleaner and degreaser for your auto, boat, shop and home. Dilute 1:4 parts for tough cleaning jobs and up to 1:15 parts for light applications. Use full strength on laundry stains. Our heavy-duty, fast-acting, alkaline shop formula combines a balanced blend of surfactants, solvents, builders and corrosion inhibitors to safely and quickly dissolve heavy oil residue and hydrocarbon build-up such as grease, motor oil, tar, fats, soap scum, crayon, markers and paint, as well as stubborn soils such as fuel, brake dust, soot and road film.

Scent: No Added Fragrance

I usually use purple power products and this one is even better. It's a concentrated formula and needs to add water to it. It's great stuff and worth the money. When I use it I always spray it on and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. After you clean the surface and rub your finger across it you can feel how squeaky clean it is. Even when diluted this formula is better than the non concentrated product.

So I have used the other brand of purple grease cleaner and have to say that I was not really impressed with it. I really gave this OdoBan a challenge. My shop burned a year ago from a faulty GFCI receptacle and destroyed everything but a hydraulic body kit in a steel box survived but I just left it outside for the last 16 months. I opened it to find 2 inches of water inside that apparently leaked through the hinge along the box. So gross a mess of water, hydraulic oil, and rust that I donned heavy gloves. I drained the water overnight, made the 1 to 4 solution and sprayed and let it soak. Sprayed it again and rinsed it with water. Let it dry and just wiped it with rags. This stuff even removed most of the rust! Totally impressed!

I bought this on a whim to try and clean the back hall stairs on the duplex that I just bought. The stairs probably hadn’t been cleaned in 10+ years. The color of the floor went from black to almost white after using odoban purple degreaser and some rags. Didn’t even have to use a scrub brush.
